As Christians' we are called to encourage those around us. To 'encourage one another and build each other up' (1 Thessalonians 5:11). But how often do we forget the importance of this simple message?
The world creeps in, life gets in the way. We meant to say 'Well done', 'We value you', 'Thank you', 'We appreciate all you do'.. but we didn't.
'Inky encouragements' offer a simple visual, physical way to tell those around you how much their faith, love, friendships and actions mean to you. It is a way you can mark those moments that matter and those interactions that continually shape you as you grow in faith.
Why not take a look at Paul's first letter to the church in Thessalonica to see how he took the time to encourage those around him. He knew the importance of this. Surrounded by persecution and aggression Paul wanted the followers of Christ in the early church to know they were not alone and that their faith, love and deeds mattered. His letter to the Thessalonians is a good example of him taking time to re-connect. It is a letter that sought to encourage and reassure. An encouragement to keep going, and to remember what they had shared when they were together.
